The new company after the merger of Sears and Kmart was directed by the board of directors which consisted of members from both the companies.
Shares of Sears, Roebuck and Company stock were changed into a combination of 55% stock and 45% cash.

At last the merger completed on March 24, 2005 and it had received an approval from the government and shareholders of both companies.

Even today Sears works with the Kmart and had introduced a new store format named as Sears Essentials.

The new store format was a combination of Kmart and Sears format so that it could compete with the famous Wall-mart and Target.

Sears not only makes its own holdings but retails other craftsman tools which were exclusively sold at the K-mart only.
Sears holdings have a 90.4% of Sears Canada which one of the largest store in Canada.

On February 22, 2010 Sears as the Sears automotive company launched an Auto Center franchise program which offered other dealers to operate the licensed Sears Auto centers.
Coleman Auto group was the first dealer which opened a Sears's auto center in March 2010.

It is just like an ordinary lawn mower but there is a specific method in case it is to be repaired.

Repairing a Sears's lawn mower is not a too difficult task and can be done at home but with little more efforts than usual and a little more patience.
Its method of repair is easy enough that it does not require a professional and you don't have to spend hundreds of dollars.

Although enough information regarding the repair is available in the manual but still below are some points which may also bring you help.

Some tools which you may need for repair task are:
  • owner's manual,
  • car jack,
  • tire pressure gauge,
  • air pump, new oil filter,
  • spark plug and
  • wrench etc.

First step is to lift the Sears mower up.
This may be done with the help of the car jack.
Make sure that its locks into this position.
Look for the oil filter.
Then unscrew the filter with the help of a wrench and replace the older one with a new one if it was causing a problem.

Second step is to pull the old spark plug out of the machine and put a new one in its place after taking off the housing and then putting it back on.
Try and find the air filter.
It is underneath a small handle on the top of the motor.
Push the filter out of the slot with the help of hand.
There is no need of tool at this place.
If it's a blue filter then this represents that it's washable and if it's not then changed it with a new one.
The tires may also be checked for proper inflation thirty to thirty five pounds of pressure is enough for small tires.
